This album hits like a ton of bricks. I can't say how long it's been since a band reached me like this, but I can't get enough. The driving rhythm, the ghostly floating leads, the haunting and direct lyrics, the desperation in her voice... Powerful.

blackwing is still my favourite cloudkicker release but subsume sure is up there. I think I prefer the original to the remaster honestly (it's been a while though, I'll have to listen again soon)

can't remember if I found this when checking stuff out on epitonic in 1999, or trying to find more Native Nod stuff, but I loved this Sultans lp a lot and Nanzen has such an amazing intro that sets a perfect tone for the whole record.
